Located 12 miles south of San Diego, La Jolla Inn is situated in the upscale village of La Jolla on prominant Prospect Street. Almost all of the 26 rooms have ocean views and the hotel features a roof top deck with a pergola that has both ocean breeze and overlooks La Jolla Cove. The original market “The Prospect Market” was built in the mid 1940’s. The hotel, which appears to have been an exterior corridor hotel, was added to the market in the mid 1960’s. The final enclosure was added in the late 1980’s – 1990’s. The hotel’s history spans several, more modern, decades of the twentieth century.
